Neuro-Ophthalmology publishes original papers on neurosciences, such as the relationship with visual perception, in different sections dealing with basic and clinical research, trends and developments, reviews on current problems, diagnosis and therapy in the visual system, early tell-tale ophthalmic signs and symptoms of neurological disease, related to both afferent and efferent pathways, as well as all studies highlighting immune, metabolic, genetic, vascular or tumoral etiology; articles dedicated to equipment and methodology, case reports are published as letters or diligent publishing. Another feature is papers on art and history in relation to neuro-ophthalmology.
